Lots of fun was had the last few weeks. It was awesome to share our paradise with friends from Scotland and then all caravan up to Whistler BC for Mike and Laurie’s wedding festivities.
I was amazed to hear that straight of the plane from Scotland the Stricklands were up for a ball game. E happily took them to a Mariners game right away! Jet Lag what jet lag.
While in the Methow we took full advantage of the local bike trails, road rides, swimming sessions, water fights- that made the front page of the paper, horseback trail rides (Thanks Beau- Chewack River Riding Stables), running trails, smoothies at Glover street- thanks Molly! But with all that we did we didn’t even make a dent in what there is to do here … Stricklands you’ll have to come back!
We arrived in Whistler and hit the ground running. First on the list Sachi Sushi- gotta hit this spot many times while visiting Whistler get an order(or two) of the Kani Blossoms, Spicey tuna Kara-age and Roundhouse rolls, you won’t regret it!
Great nights of debauchery, days filled with tennis tournaments, mtn. biking with the girls around lost lake, running, introducing them to the downhill mountain bike park- they looooved it! We took in a movie, painted pottery, trampolines, mazes, bouncy castles, hit the Scandinave Spa to relax, got our nails painted (Hannah too), a birthday party, met wonderful people from all over and the best part and reason for the trip… a gorgeous wedding in which our girls were lucky to be 2 of 16 flower girls! Thank you Mike and Laurie for including us in such a wonderful celebration! Another thank you to Ira and Courtney for sharing your fab spot with us.
Life is good.
