Last week: The Middle Crew finished yet another fantastic week. I ended the week telling the crew how impressed I am with the effort and focus they are putting into their work, and how well they are working together. WOW!! It is really exciting watching them work so hard. I am VERY proud of them, and excited for the year together. Last week we:
Participated as Reading Buddies..students are paired up with another student in the school for our Monday Reading Buddy program after our all-school circle.
Brainstormed and voted on our Code of Conduct and Shared Vision
Edited rough drafts and began writing final drafts to Camping Reflections
Took a Math Assessment
Did an exploration of Dictionaries…what their purpose is and how they are organized
Introduction into the High-Frequency Word reference for spelling
Service Learning at Red Shed, delivering produce and preparing bags of food at The Cove
Team Building Activity: Games and participating in a team communication game called ‘The Beast’.
Continued work on the Mandala
This week: We will continue with our exploration on how to use Dictionaries, dive into Math, finish up Camping Reflections, and move into our expedition topic. Homework journals will also be sent home today (Monday) and are due back on Friday. Math homework will start next week.
Have a wonderful week!
